Wang Saphung District

Amphoe Wang Saphung ( Thai: อำเภอ วังสะพุง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Loei. The Loei Province is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Loei, the Erawan, Pha Khao Nong Hin, Phu Luang and Phu Ruea. All Amphoe located in the province of Loei.

The main river of the district is Maenam Loei ( Loei River ). To the west of the county lies the Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary (Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary ).

Economy

Agriculture and trade in the original sense with the simplest of equipment. Slow recovery by cultivation of rubber trees and harvesting of raw rubber.

History

Khwaeng Wang Saphung was a city within Mueang Lom Sak. On January 4, 1907, she was the managing Mueang Loei subordinate.

Management

Amphoe Wang Saphung is divided into ten sub-districts ( tambon), which continues in 141 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Wang Saphung ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง วังสะพุง ) is also the name of a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Wang Saphung and Si Songkhram.

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.

Note: The missing numbers belong to tambon from which today Amphoe Erawan is.
