Wang Wiset District

Amphoe Wang Wiset ( Thai: อำเภอ วัง วิเศษ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern province of Trang. Trang Province is located in the southwest of the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Huai Yot The, Mueang Trang and Sikao Trang province, Amphoe Khlong Thom and the Lam Thap Krabi Province and Amphoe Bang Khan of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

History

Wang Wiset was on 15 July 1981 as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Sikao. The first temporary administration building was within the Wat Rat Rangsan ( Thai: วัด ราษฎร์รังสรรค์ - also: Prang Wat Ton - วัด ต้น ปรง ), it was opened on 2 November 1981.

On May 21, 1990 Wang Wiset got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Wang Wiset is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 70 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Wang Wiset ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง วิเศษ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Wang Maprang Nuea.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
