Wang Xiaoning

Wang Xiaoning (Chinese王小宁, Pinyin Wáng Xiǎoníng; born January 7, 1950 in Shenyang) is a Chinese engineer and dissident.

Wang Xiaoning published in the years 2000 and 2001 in Yahoo forums texts in which he advocated democratic reforms and the end of one-party rule in China. In September 2002 he was arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison. His case attracted international attention because Yahoo provided the Chinese authorities as the arrest of Shi Tao with the crucial information.

On 18 April 2007 complained Xiaonings wife, Yu Ling, Yahoo in federal court in San Francisco for human rights violations.
