Wang Yang District

Amphoe Wang Yang ( Thai: อำเภอ วัง ยาง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Nakhon Phanom. The Nakhon Phanom Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Pla Pak and Na Kae Nakhon Phanom Province and Amphoe Khok Si Suphan Phon Na Kaeo and in the province of Sakon Nakhon.

History

Wang Yang was on 1 July 1997 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon were separated from Amphoe Na Kae.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe That Phanom is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 27 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
