Warclouds in the Pacific

Warclouds in the Pacific (English: "War clouds over the Pacific " ) is a Canadian documentary short film from the year 1941.

Action

At the North American Pacific coast is prepared during the Second World War for the fight at sea. Also a hit for military service suitable for men from Australia. Japan is regarded as hostile and high technology and military power, living in North America are Japanese but shown as convinced democrats and equal citizens of the Western world. Warclouds in the Pacific was produced by the National Film Board of Canada, and just days before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 for the first time published.

Awards

At the Academy Awards in 1942 Warclouds was nominated in the Pacific in the category of Best Short Documentary Oscar, but lost the documentary Churchill's Iceland, which was also directed by Stuart Legg.
