Warren Casey

Warren Casey (* 1935, † November 8, 1988 ) was American author, composer and actor. He was one of the founders of the musical Grease.

The from Yonkers (New York) originating Casey studied art at Syracuse University. After graduating, he taught for a time at the University before he transferred his residence to Chicago in 1962. There he began to play theater and write. In 1963, he met Jim Jacobs, with whom he staged the musical Grease in 1971. The joint success prompted Casey and Jacobs for further cooperation, from which the musical satire Islands of Lost co-eds was born.
