Warren County (Tennessee)

Warren County is a county located in the state of Tennessee in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is McMinnville.

Geography

The County is located east of the geographic center of Tennessee and has an area of ​​1124 square kilometers, of which 4 square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: DeKalb County, White County, Van Buren County, Sequatchie County, Grunby County, Coffee County and Cannon County.

History

Warren County was formed on November 26, 1807 from parts of White County. It was named for Joseph Warren, the first U.S. soldier who died in the Revolutionary War.
