Warren F. Daniell

Warren Fisher Daniell ( born June 26, 1826 in Newton Lower Falls, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, † 30 July 1913 in Franklin, New Hampshire ) was an American politician. Between 1891 and 1893 he represented the State of New Hampshire in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Warren Daniell attended the public schools of his home in Massachusetts, and from 1834 in Franklin ( New Hampshire), where he had moved with his family. After that, he began an apprenticeship with his father, who operated a paper mill. In 1852 Daniell founded his own paper mill in Waterville (Maine). In the following years he operated in Pepperell (Massachusetts ) another factory, which operated in this industry. After his return to Franklin, he remained active in the securities business, but also engaged in animal husbandry and in the banking sector. During the Civil War Daniell served in the militia of New Hampshire, who fought on the Union side.

Politically, Daniell member of the Democratic Party. Although his party was in New Hampshire in the minority, succeeded him on several occasions, to be elected to the House of Representatives of the States. There he sat in the years 1861 and 1862 as well as 1870-1877. In 1872 he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Baltimore. Between 1873 and 1874 Daniell was also a member of the Senate of New Hampshire. Accordingly, he was also represented in both chambers of the legislature of his state in those two years.

1890 Daniell was the second electoral district of New Hampshire in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of the Republican Orren C. Moore on March 4, 1891. Since he resigned at the next election in 1892 on another candidacy, Daniell was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1893. After the end of his time in Congress Warren Daniell was continued until 1898 in the paper business and is also involved in the Winnepesogee Paper Co.. He died in July 1913 in Franklin and was also buried there.
