Warren Hymer

Warren B. Hymer ( born February 25, 1906 in New York; † March 25, 1948 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Warren Hymer was the son of screenwriter John B. Hymer (1875-1933) and his wife Eleanor Kent (1880-1957), an actress. In his Rollem he played mostly silly police officers or gangster. Overall, he was involved in nearly 130 films 1929-1946. He had better-known performances, among others in the films journey of no return, Destry Rides and here is John Doe. Off the canvas was Hymer as alcoholics. When the Columbia boss Harry Cohn Hymer the late 1930s wanted to account for it, Hymer said to have urinated on Cohn's table. The quality of his roles and films took after this incident significantly. Two years after his last film appearance Hymer died at the age of 42 from a stomach ailment. He was married twice, but both marriages failed.
