Warriors' Day

Hari Pahlawan (English Warriors ' Day, Chinese国家 纪念日) is a memorial day in Malaysia, which is celebrated annually on 31 July.

On " Heroes' Day " of the soldiers is thought in Malaysia, who died during the Second World War. At the same time reminds the choice of date to the end of the twelve- year-long state of emergency in 1960. In a broader sense, the state holiday is dedicated to the memory of all those who gave their lives for their country in the course of history in Malaysia.

The largest single celebration will be held in the presence of the Yang di - Pertuan Agong and the Prime Minister and of high representatives of the police forces and the military at the Tugu Negara, the National Monument, Lake Gardens.

The celebrations in the individual states are usually held on specially designated monuments, Tugu Pahlawan in the Sabah Kota Kinabalu for example, was built in 2003.
