Warsow (Stralendorf)

Warsow is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Stralendorf based in the community Stralendorf.

The municipality consists of the villages of Warsow, Kothe village and Krumbeck.

Geography and Transport

Warsow is about eleven kilometers southwest of Schwerin and 15 kilometers northeast of Hagenow directly on the main road 321 The Sude flows along the southern boundary of the municipality. Connection with the Federal Highway 24 is six miles away at Junction Hagenow. The nearest railway station on the railway line Hagenow country -Schwerin is located in Old Zachun ( 5 km).

History

According to the first documentary mention of the 1217 Warsow was a good and Kirchdorf.

The in the past repeatedly converted church is a Gothic building of granite rubble stone with buttresses. The two bells of the church date from the years 1309 to 1474th The assembled in 1833 by Jacob Friedrich Friese organ located since 1874 in this church.

A Low German hall house from 1787 is still preserved. 1972 were incorporated to Warsow Kothe village and Krumbeck.

District Kothe village

The first written record dates from 1297, the village sold in the Nikolaus Graf von Schwerin to the monastery Zarrentin. 1873 Kothe village is combined with Sudenmühle.

District Krumbeck

The settlement Krumbeck arose because eight leaseholder built their houses on fields west of Kothe village due to dense population and for fire protection reasons.
