The Wartberg, originally named because of its location about north of Heilbronn Nordberg, is a 313.3 m above sea level. NHN high elevation of the in Baden- Württemberg Heilbronn mountains. Geography
Location
The Wartberg is located in the north of Heilbronn Mountains, a north-western foothills of the Löwenstein mountains. Its summit rises 2.3 km (airline ) northeast of Heilbronn city center. While the majority of the mountain and its summit in the north of the urban area of Heilbronn (city circle) is, its northeast flank falls within the municipal area of Erlenbach from the district of Heilbronn. The plateau-like highlands of the mountain is forested, and its flanks are especially vineyards.

History and Description
Ring Wall and Sternschanze
The Heilbronner historian Alfred Schliz has in the scenic cuts that separate the approximately 120 x 85 meters large, oval crest of Wartberg from the ridge locates the remains of a ring wall with a moat of a prehistoric "people's Castle ". A grave mounds from the time of this system was redesigned by Verschönerungsverein Heilbronn in 1900 to ten -pointed star ski jump with a stone table and benches.

Transport and Hiking
