Wartenberg-Rohrbach

Wartenberg- Rohrbach is a municipality in the Thunder Mountain district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Winnweiler.

Geography

The place is in Lohnsbachtal, a side valley of the Alsenz Valley in the north- Palatinate mountains southeast of Mount Thunder.

History

After the French Revolution, the town was incorporated in 1798 in the French department of Thunder Mountain. As a result of the Vienna Congress, he was from 1816 to 1945 Bavarian. After the Second World War Wartenberg- Rohrbach was part of the French occupation zone and was incorporated into the newly formed 1946 State of Rhineland -Palatinate.
