Wasatch County, Utah
Wasatch County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. The the county seat ( county seat ) is Heber City.
Geography
The Wasatch County has an area of 3132 square kilometers, of which 82 square kilometers of water. It is bordered clockwise to the County: Duchesne County, Utah County, Salt Lake County and Summit County.
History
Wasatch County was founded in 1862. It got its name derived from the Indian word meaning mountain pass.

According to the census of 2000, there were 15,215 people in Wasatch County. There were 4,743 households and 3,870 families. The population density was 5 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 95.62 % White, 0.22 % African American, 0.43 % Native American, 0.30 % Asian, 0.10 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 1.96 % from other races groups; 1.38% were descended from two or more races. 5.09% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 4,743 households out of which 46.20 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 71.00 % were married couples living together, 7.50 % had a female householder with no husband. 18.40 % were non-families. 14.30 % of all households and 5.00% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.18 and the average family size was 3.55 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 34.20 % under the age of 18, 9.90 % from 18 to 24, 29.00% from 25 to 44 years, 18.50% between 45 and 64 years and 8.40% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 103.30 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.50 males.
The median income for a household was $ 49,612, and the median income for a family was $ 52,102. Males have a median income of $ 37,399, women $ 23,571. The per capita income was $ 19,869. 5.20% of the population and 4.20% of families are below the poverty line. 5.60% of those under age 18 and 4.00% were 65 years or older.
