Washington County (Colorado)

The Washington County is a county located in the state of Colorado of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Akron.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern Colorado and has an area of ​​6537 square kilometers, of which 8 square miles is water area. In the northwest, the County share of the South Platte River. History

Ds County was formed in 1877 as 12 of the 64 counties. Was named the County to George Washington, the first President of the United States.
