History
The Washington Lions were established in 1941 as a franchise of the American Hockey League. After two seasons in which they are third in the East Division were and at all the Cleveland Barons documents in the season 1941/42, in their only playoff participation with 0-2 victories in the first round each, the team paused due to the Second world War. From 1944 to 1947 the team played in the Eastern Hockey League, before they again aufgnahmen for season 1947/48 the operation of gambling in the American Hockey League, where she worked with 40 points and finally in season 1948/49, with 26 points each division Last were.
