History

The Washington Lions were established in 1941 as a franchise of the American Hockey League. After two seasons in which they are third in the East Division were and at all the Cleveland Barons documents in the season 1941/42, in their only playoff participation with 0-2 victories in the first round each, the team paused due to the Second world War.
