Washington State Route 204

State Route 204 (SR 204, generally Snohomish Marysville Road) is a 3.83 km long state highway. The route runs completely in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It runs from the junction with U.S. Highway 2 east of Everett in a northeasterly direction for Washington State Route 9 west of Lake Stevens. From 1937 on the highway in the western portion of the Secondary State Highways 15A was (SSH 15A ) until 1964, the present State Route was established.

Route description

State Route 204 (SR 204) just east of Everett at the intersection with 20th Street Southeast and the access ramps to U.S. Highway 2. From there, the route heads north on Sunnyside Boulevard, which leads to Marysville and bends to the northeast. Finally, the road ends at the intersection with Washington State Route 9 west of Lake Stevens. At the intersection with SR 9, the road was used as a daily average of 20,000 vehicles; 1970, the same section was used from about 7300 vehicles.

History

As 1937, the primary and secondary highways were created in Washington, Secondary State Highway 15A (SSH 15A) ran between the Primary State Highway 15 ( PSH 15) - this was in 1946 part of the U.S. Highways (U.S. 2) - and Granite Falls, where a short overlap with SSH 1A was the government of the state replaced the system of Primary and Secondary highways in the renumbering of highways in Washington 1964; PSH 15 became the U.S. 2, SSH 15A between U.S. 2 and SSH 1A was SR 204, SSH 1A was part of Washington State Route 9 and the rest of the SSH 15A through to Granite Falls to Washington State Route 92
