Washington Township is one of 14 townships of Auglaize County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 2320 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Washington Township is located southwest of the geographical center of the Auglaize counties in northwest Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Moulton Township, Duchouquet Township, Pusheta Township, Dinsmore Township, Shelby County, Van Buren Township ( Shelby County), Saint Marys Township and Noble Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
