WASP-6

WASP -6 is a star with an apparent visual brightness of about 12 mag in the constellation Aquarius. He is surrounded by a transiting planet.

Planetary companion

WASP -6 b is an exoplanet with a mass of about 0.5 Jupiter masses and an orbital period of 3.36 days. The companion was discovered using the transit method by analysis of observational data obtained between 7 May and 12 November 2006 and between 5 July and 13 November 2007 during the SuperWASP program, with data on a total of 18 transits templates. The radius of the companion is 1.2 Jupiter radii. The semi-major axis of the orbit measures 0.04 astronomical units, its eccentricity is 0.05, the inclination of 88 °.
