Wasserthaleben

Wasserthaleben is a municipality in the Thuringian Kyffhauserkreis. It belongs to the administrative community Greußen.

Location

Wasserthaleben located in the arable layer of the Thuringian Basin. Through the village flows the Helbe. The railway Erfurt Nordhausen runs through the valley. History

Once the village belonged in the sphere of influence of fishing and warning to Ebeleben and Großenehrich. Wasserthaleben was first mentioned in records in 1224 under the name Talhahem or Thalheim. Attractions

In Wasserthaleben is an architecturally interesting twisted chimney and close to the resort there is a trail to Funkenburg. Interesting is the system of weirs near Wasserthaleben that dammed the river Helbe since time immemorial.
