The Waterhen River is a left tributary of the Beaver River in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

The Waterhen River forms the outflow of Lac des Îles north of Goodsoil. The lake is fed by the Cold River, in whose catchment area the larger lakes Primrose Lake and Cold Lake are.

The Waterhen River flows in an easterly direction along the periphery of the boreal forest belt. The river flows through the Waterhen Lake and continues its course continued to the northeast and east, before it flows approximately 120 km away in the flowing northward Beaver River.
