Waterzooi

Waterzooi ( ostflämisch, such as " water brew " ) is a stew of Flemish cuisine. He is considered Flemish national dish.

Basis of Waterzooi are either any fish or chicken and Knuckle of veal and vegetables such as carrots, celery, parsley root, onion and leek, which supplements along with herbs such as parsley, thyme, bay leaf and sage and spices such as pepper and cloves in water or broth and butter be cooked. Traditionally, the soup is bound with breadcrumbs, partly also with cream, double cream or crème fraîche. Waterzooi is traditionally served with toasted slices of white bread or French fries.
