Watzespitze from the east, from the ascent route to Kaunergrat

(Referred to 3532 m above sea. A., also Watze or Waze ) The Watzespitze is the highest mountain of the Kaunergrat in the Ötztal Alps. The distinctive twin peaks ( south summit 3501 m) rises steeply above the southern Madatschjoch and impressed with his torn hanging glaciers, steep ridges and walls.

All routes on this mountain are serious alpine pursuits. Starting point is usually the Kaunergrat.
