Waukesha County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. In the census in 2010, the County had 389 891 inhabitants and a population density of 271.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Waukesha.

History

Waukesha County was formed in 1846 from parts of Milwaukee County. It was named, as well as the district capital, according to the Indian term for Little Fox.
