Waupaca County, Wisconsin

Waupaca County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. In the census in 2010, the County had 52 410 inhabitants and a population density of 26.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Waupaca.

Geography

History

Waupaca County was formed in 1851 from parts of Brown County and Winnebago County. It was named after an expression of Menominee " wau -pa -ka -ho- nak ", which means as much as white sand soil or good young hero.
