Wayne County (Pennsylvania)
Wayne County is a county located in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 47 722 inhabitants and a population density of 25 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Honesdale.
History
The county was formed on March 21, 1798 Northampton County and named after Anthony Wayne.
Geography
The county has an area of 1,944 square kilometers, of which 55 square kilometers are water surface.
