We Were There (manga)

Bokura ga Ita (Japanese僕 等 が い た, dt "We were there ") is a manga series published since 2002, the Japanese illustrator Yūki Obata. The date approximately 1700 -page manga, which was implemented as a anime television series, aimed at young girls, so can be assigned to the shōjo genus.

Action

Nanami Takahashi is in the high school. She meets some new friends and hear about the mysterious Motoharu Yano, who is to be a heartthrob. She herself thinks not much of it, but asks her neighbor bank Yuri Yamamoto, who once was in the same class as Motoharu, what she thinks of Motoharu. These replies, they hate him.

Nanami met him and can not stand him at first entirely because he always returns to the arm and makes it ridiculous. Nevertheless, she is fascinated by Motoharu and his contradictory behavior. On the one hand, it encourages them to, on the other hand, she finds his smile irresistible. She falls in love with him, but do not know if he reciprocates her feelings. She learns that Motoharu had a relationship with Yuri's sister, who was killed in a car accident. Gradually, they come closer and Nanami learns that Motoharu infidelity detests more than anything in the world.

The two are finally a couple, but the love between high school students seem more complicated than they seemed at first sight. Often the relationship between the two to the test is set. On the one hand, there is the distinct jealousy Yano's because his ex-girlfriend had cheated on him. In addition, Yano seems to have not quite forget his ex- girlfriend.

Publications

Bokura ga Ita is published in Japan since 2002 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Betsucomi in which at the same time, among other things Mayumi Yokoyama Galism and Hinako Ashiharas Sunadokei - were published in the hourglass. The Shogakukan publishing house brought this single chapter out in a total of 16 anthologies.

In German Egmont Manga & Anime moved the anthologies completely from December 2006 to February 2013.

Success and Awards

The first nine volumes sold in Japan until May 2006 about 4.8 million times.

2005 received the Shogakukan Manga Manga Award in the shōjo category.

Filming

The animation studio Artland produced a 26- episode anime series based on the manga. The series was erstausgestrahlt July-December 2006 Japanese television. Directed by Akitaro Daichi. The series includes the contents of the first eight volumes.
