Wealden

Wealden is a District in the county of East Sussex in England. It is named after the landscape Weald between the North Downs and the South Downs. Council is based in Crowborough. Other important towns are Forest Row, Hailsham, Horam, Pevensey, Polegate, Rotherfield, Uckfield, Wadhurst.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Rural Districts Hailsham and Uckfield.
