Web Application Description Language

The Web Application Description Language ( WADL ) is an XML -based file format, the HTTP -based applications explains how they occur mainly on the WWW and intranets. WADL support primarily the description of REST-based web services and plays a similar role for this class of applications, such as WSDL for SOAP-based web services.

WADL has the goal to obtain, services in the Internet (or any other IP-based network ) in machine-readable form, and thus to simplify the development of applications in the style of Web 2.0.
