Wedeler TSV

The Wedeler TSV is a multi-branch sports club from the 33,000 -inhabitant town Wedel, which is located in the district of Pinneberg from Hamburg at the gates. The first football team plays in the national league Hamburg.

Football

The crew of the Wedeler TSV played in earlier decades, hardly a greater role in the higher amateur football. In the 1975/76 season the team finished in the Hamburg state league Hammonia as the front runner from, but lost in a playoff spot the same club Viktoria William Castle - Veddel missing out on promotion to the highest amateur class. A year later, the TSV was runner-up behind the Harburg TB 1865. During the season of 1979/80 was followed by the descent of the national league, the return only managed the club in the season 1993 / 94th Two years later, in 1995 /96 was Wedeler TSV master the national league Hammonia and celebrated promotion to the League Association Hamburg, where they stuck by the year 2000. After the descent of the direct re-emergence in 2001 was done in the fifth division and in the 2002/03 season the club won the first promotion to the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig -Holstein. Due to league restructuring, it remained a one-year stint. The Wedeler TSV won the championship again in 2009 the national league Hammonia and played until their relegation at the end of the 2010/11 season back in the Oberliga Hamburg.
