Wedendorfersee

Wedendorfersee is a municipality in the district of North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ), which was created July 1, 2011 from the merger of the municipalities Wedendorf and Köchelstorf. It is administered by the Office Rehna based in the same city.

Geography

Located in the center of the district municipality Wedendorfersee is about five kilometers southeast of the town Rehna. The hilly area between the rivers Radegast and Stepenitz reaches about 75 m above sea level. NN. The eponymous Wedendorfer lake separates the two main places Köchelstorf and Wedendorf.

The municipality consists of the villages of gasoline, United Hundorf, Kasendorf, Kirch Grambow, Köchelstorf and Wedendorf.

History

After residents' meetings on November 16, 2010 in Köchelstorf and on November 23, 2010 in Wedendorf the local councils of the two communities on 30 November 2010 decided ( in Köchelstorf ) and 14 December 2010 ( in Wedendorf ) unanimously adopting the territory amendment agreement, the the merger to the new community Wedendorfer lake provides. The council of the district of North West Mecklenburg agreed to on February 24, 2011. The Ministry of Interior of the State of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern confirmed the merger with the change of the community name on Wedendorfersee.
