Weedeater (band)

Weedeater is an American Stoner Doom and Sludge band from Wilmington, North Carolina, founded in 1997.

History

The band was formed in 1997 by bassist and singer Dave Shepard and guitarist Keith Kirkum, after their previous band Buzzov * s had dissolved. In 2001 followed on Berserker Records debut album ... and Justice for Y'all, where in 2002 the second album Sixteen Tons joined. Both albums were produced by Billy Anderson. In the following years, concerts joined together with Corrosion of Conformity and Alabama Thunderpussy. In addition, Collins played briefly at Bongzilla and Sourvein. In 2007, the third album God Luck and Good Speed ​​appeared. After the album Jason ... the Dragon was released in 2011, followed by appearances in the U.S. and Europe. The album should appear actually already in 2010, however, Shepard had violated the use of his shotgun, which he lost a toe.
