Weerberg

Weer is a municipality with 2368 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Schwaz, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Schwaz.

As a popular residential area Weerberg has to have a high proportion of commuters. But there is also a subtle commuters share.

Geography

Weer mountain is situated on a low mountain range on the south side of the lower Inn valley. The Weerbach is in large part the western boundary to Kolsassberg and thus the district Innsbruck-Land. The settlement area extends in the districts Besides, Mitter and Innerweerberg and reaches an area of ​​almost 14 km.

Notable Hills in the municipal area are the 2762 m high Rastkogelbahn and the 2506 m high Gilfert, both located in the Tux Alps.

Tourism

As solar and viewing platform of Tyrol has many places of the resort a magnificent view of the Inn Valley to Innsbruck in good weather. Due to the location is Weerberg a major resort. Worth visiting the museum Rablhaus and the two churches: the old St. Peter's Church and the new Immaculate Conception Church. Weer mountain is also a popular spot for cyclists, especially for mountain bikers. In summer they come in droves to do the long rise of Pill in the Inn Valley across Weerberg to Weiden hut of Nafing. In winter there are two ski lifts, open up the relatively easy runs. For a long time a connection to the ski Hochfuegen is being considered.
