Wees

Wees (Danish: Ves ) is a municipality between Flensburg and happiness castle in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Oxbüll ( Oksbøl ) Rubelei, Rosgaard ( Rosgård ) Ulstrup, Ulstrupfeld, Wees and Weesries lie in the municipality.

History

The village name comes from Danish and means marshy meadow. In the municipality there is a Moor today. The megalithic grave Wees indicates an early settlements of the region.
