Węgorzewo County

The powiat Węgorzewski is a powiat ( county ) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The county has an area of ​​693.43 km ², where 24,000 people live.

The powiat Węgorzewski was established on 1 January 2002 and includes the northernmost three municipalities of the then powiat Giżycki. The district area is not identical to the previous district Angerburg.

The powiat includes three municipalities,

An urban and rural community;

  • Węgorzewo ( Angerburg ): 17,068 inhabitants, of whom 5,434 outside the urban area (2007).

And two rural communities;

  • Budry ( Buddern ): 2,981 inhabitants.
  • Pozezdrze ( Poss eaters ): 3,502 inhabitants.

City

  • Węgorzewo ( Angerburg ): 11,634 inhabitants ( 2007).
