Węgorzewo County
The powiat Węgorzewski is a powiat ( county ) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The county has an area of 693.43 km ², where 24,000 people live.
The powiat Węgorzewski was established on 1 January 2002 and includes the northernmost three municipalities of the then powiat Giżycki. The district area is not identical to the previous district Angerburg.

An urban and rural community;
- Węgorzewo ( Angerburg ): 17,068 inhabitants, of whom 5,434 outside the urban area (2007).
And two rural communities;
- Budry ( Buddern ): 2,981 inhabitants.
- Pozezdrze ( Poss eaters ): 3,502 inhabitants.
City
- Węgorzewo ( Angerburg ): 11,634 inhabitants ( 2007).
