The Wehrau is a small river in Schleswig -Holstein, which flows south of Rendsburg in the North Sea-Baltic Canal.

The Wehrau is with a catchment area of 151 km ² to the southern Eider is the largest tributary of the North Sea-Baltic Canal. Originally it was a left tributary of the Eider, the construction of the canal, which runs at Rendsburg in the old Eider bed, but she cut off from what is now northern eider. Now, take the Wehrau from the south joins the canal at km 62.3 Osterronfeld in the North Sea-Baltic Canal. In the Middle Ages Wehrau was initially called Ronne. My present name is believed to result from the fact that it was dammed in case of war to defend the city of Rendsburg.

The Wehrau rises near Emkendorf near the road to Haßmoor initially and then flows west towards the village Emkendorfer Bokel Holm. Here, on the railway line Neumünster -Flensburg, it divides into two arms: called right arm, Linnbek, gets most of the water and flows north-east of the railway line to Osterronfeld. The left, Wehrau said arm gets its water mainly arriving from the Brahmsee Mühlenau and passes under the railway line twice, first at Bokel spar and then again at Osterronfeld, where he reunites with the Linnbek.
