Wehrwirtschaftsführer

Wehrwirtschaftsführer ( WeWiFü ) were head armor important companies in the Nazi German Reich. These were appointed in 1935 by the weir Economic and Armaments Office in the OKW. Intention was to tie them to the army and to give them a quasi-military status. After 1938, the appointment was made by the Reich Ministry of Economics. After 1940, leaders of enterprises of the non- armor were more often given this title to document the conversion of farms to the needs of the war economy. In particular, in appointments before 1940 the title hardly says something about the political proximity of the owner to the Nazi regime or the armor economic importance of its operation. An appointment to Wehrwirtschaftsführer easier on the holding negative labor regulations for the workers and employees.
