Weilbachs Kunstnerleksikon

Because Bach's dictionary of artists ( in Danish: "Because Bach Kunstnerleksikon " ) - often referred to simply as ' "Because Bach ' " - is the standard lexicon of Danish art and the Danish artist. It was designed by the art historian Philip Because Bach ( * August 5, 1834 in Usserød (now part of the commune Hørsholm ) - † November 22, 1900 in Usserød ) founded in 1877. In the current issue, it includes approximately 10,000 entries by artists from Denmark and those units who have their place of activity; all periods and art movements.

As a biographical dictionary, it contains the name, the life data, the art direction also include information on training, special projects, exhibitions, obtained prices for Family ( Ethnicity, spouse, offspring), etc.
