Weinberg House (Waren)

History

The vineyard castle in goods at the Müritz was built in the 1870s by the architect Gustav Werner Warener and completed in October 1875. The builder was Hermann von Maltzan. In the fall of Michaelis (September 29 ) in 1875, the Natural History Museum Malzaneum moved into the rooms of the house. After the sale of the house in 1876, the museum had to take off again. From 1911 to 1939, the folklorist Richard Wossidlo temporarily inhabited several apartments of the vineyard castle, in which he had placed his extensive records, library materials, as well as his private folklore museum.
