Welf VII.

Welf VII (* 1140, † 11-12 September 1167 in Siena. ), From the House of Welf, Count of Altdorf, was the only surviving son of Welf VI. and Uta von Schauenburg.

From 1154 he participated in the campaigns of Italy Frederick I Barbarossa against the Pope in Rome. On behalf of his father, he oversaw its Italian possessions. With the Count Palatine of Tübingen Hugo I. He fought in the Tübingen feud, however, triumphed only after the intervention of his father Welf VI. and Emperor Frederick I in 1167 he participated in the battle of Tusculum and died like many other malaria. He died before his father.
