Wenden Voivodeship
The Wends Voivodeship (Polish: województwo wendeńskie ) was a short-lived administrative unit in the Polish- Lithuanian Duchy of Livonia.
The province consisted of an administrative reform in 1598 until the occupation of the north-western part of the territory, including the capital Wenden ( lett: Cesis ). Sweden 1620 by international law, these territorial losses were recognized only in 1660. The remains of the contact province went to the province of Livonia ( "Polish Livonia " ) on.
