Wendy Siorpaes

Wendy Siorpaes ( born January 13, 1985 in Innichen ) is a former Italian alpine skier. Your greatest achievements came in the disciplines of downhill and Super -G. It achieved two top 10 finishes in the World Cup and eighth in the downhill at the World Championships in 2009.

Career

Their first international FIS race Siorpaes denied in December 2000. The first start in the European Cup they had in January 2003, the first victory she succeeded on 13 December 2008 at the Super G in St. Moritz. In the World Cup Siorpaes went for the first time in January 2004 at the Super G and downhill in Cortina d' Ampezzo at the start. In her fifth race, the departure from home in the Enns Valley on 30 January 2004, she was already driving on rank 15 and won her first World Cup points. However, after Siorpaes was usually not or only slightly in the points and it took until January 21, 2006 until her eighth succeeded with the first top-10 result in the departure of St. Moritz. At the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin Siorpaes went into the combination at the start, finishing in 27th place. The next World Cup race went back less successful and ended up not often in the points. But in the 2007/ 08 season they went back three times into the top 20 a total of four top 20 results they reached the winter of 2008 /09, with her ​​sixth place in the downhill in Cortina d' Ampezzo January 24, 2009 her best World Cup result succeeded.
