Wenling Tan Monfardini

Wenling Tan Monfardini ( born October 28, 1972 in Hunan ) is a Chinese-born table tennis player that occurs internationally for Italy. It was 2003 European Champion with the Italian team, also reached at the European Championships three times in the final.

Achievements

For the first time internationally in appearance Tan Monfardini joined the Danish Open, the Pro Tour series took place within the framework of the ITTF. So far the most successful she was at the European Championships in 2003, when she won the title with the Italian team and the individual only in the final lost against Rumanian Otilia Bădescu. They also reached the final in 2008 and 2009 respectively with Nikoleta Stefanova (Italy). With the same partner she was already standing at the European Championships in 2005 and 2007 in the semi-finals, in which they played in 2008 also in singles.

At the European ranking tournament TOP -12, she participated five times and scored 2007 with the fifth place their best result. Since 2003 she has been active in eight world championships, but never came close of medal ranks. 2004 and 2008 she qualified for participation in the Summer Olympics.

Wenling Tan Monfardini plays for Italian club Sterilgarda TT Castel Goffredo, to them at the end of the season 2006/ 07 returned again when Homberger TS after a one-year stint in the first division. In 2012 she joined the newly promoted Bundesliga SV DJK Kolbenmoor.

In the ITTF World Ranking is Wenling Tan Monfardini currently (May 2011) ranked 114 In June 2007, she was out in 26th.
