In the era of National Socialism the song as " loyalty song" of the Schutzstaffel (SS) was used. In SS songbook it was " exposed after the Song of Germany and the Horst- Wessel-Lied [ ... ] the third " section. The version in the SS Songbook largely corresponds to the text taverns village, the third stanza and emoluments accounted monarchist ideas. According to the historian Karsten Wilke loyalty was " excessive main virtue " within the SS as what is called My honor in the motto loyalty reproduce itself. In the Federal Republic of Germany the song of the aid community on reciprocity of the members of the former Waffen-SS ( HIAG ) continued to be used internally and publicly.

Text

Novalis (1802 ) If all become unfaithful, So I will stay true to you so; That gratitude on earth Not extinct was. For me embraced you suffering, Vergingst for me in pain; Drum I give you gladly In this heart forever. I often have bitter cry, that you died, And many of Yours You live long forgotten. Only permeated by love Have you done so much, And yet you're faded away, And no one thinks about it. You 're full of true love Still, each with; And if you no remain, So still you remain faithful; The truest love SIEGET, In the end, you feel it, Weep bitterly, and schmieget Childlike in your knee. I have found you, O! will not let me; Let me intimately connected Forever be with you. Once look at my brothers Even into the air again, And sink down loving, And fall to my heart to you.

Schenkendorfstraße (1814 ) If all become unfaithful, So we still remain faithful; That still on earth For you, a troop was. Companions of our youth, their images bess'rer time The us men virtue consecrated and Liebestod. Will never forsake us, us always be near you, faithful as the German oaks, like moon and sunshine. Once again it is bright, in all the brothers sense they return to the source in love and joy back. There have probably wrestled the heroes of this period, And now succeeded the victory, Satan exerts new list. But how make also in life like the time Thou shalt not grow old us o dream of glory. Your stars are our witnesses, the low schau'n quiet, if all our brothers are silent and false idols trau'n. We woll'n not break the word and boys are equal, woll'n preach and speak from the sacred German Reich. *
