Wenzel Faber

Wenzel Faber (* 1455 in Budweis, † November 3, 1518 ) was a Bohemian astronomer, astrologer, physician and theologian.

After an academic career in Leipzig - in the winter semester 1488 he was rector of the university - it was founded in 1499 city doctor in Most. From 1505 he was parish priest in Budweis.

Faber was famous for his annual medical almanacs astro with new and full moon charts.

The asteroid ( 5221 ) Fabribudweis is named in his honor.
