Werner Eisbrenner

Werner Friedrich Emil Eisbrenner ( born December 2, 1908 in Berlin, † November 7, 1981 in Berlin) was a German composer, who is known primarily for his film scores.

Life

Eisbrenner studied from 1927 to 1929 at the State Musikademie in Berlin Church Music and Music Education. Subsequently, he worked as a pianist, arranger, conductor and conductor. He composed violin concertos and orchestral music, and the musical comedy from hand to hand.

Of importance Eisbrenner was mainly as a film composer. Best known for his melodies are likely to Hans -Albers- movie Große Freiheit be No. 7. Eisbrenner also worked for radio and for television. A private training institute for church and school music was under his leadership. In 1974 he received the Film Award for many years of excellent work in the German film. In his honor was unveiled a plaque on 23 April 1998 at his former apartment Bismarck Allee 32a in Berlin.

It rests on the forest cemetery Dahlem. His musical legacy is in the German composer's archive in Dresden European Centre for the Arts Hellerau.
