Werner Neumann (judge)

Werner Neumann ( * 1953 in Freckenhorst ) is a German jurist. He is since 2010 Chief Judge of the German Federal Administrative Court.

Life

Werner Neumann completed his legal education from the year 1980 and became a judge at the Administrative Court Minden. He then worked for several years at the Administrative Court in Münster. In 1987 he was appointed Judge of the Higher Administrative Court of North Rhine -Westphalia. From 1990 to 1995 he worked as a research assistant first at the Federal Administrative Court, seconded later to the Federal Constitutional Court. 1996 to 2000 he was next to his judges activity also a research associate at the Constitutional Court of the State of North Rhine -Westphalia. In July 2000, Werner Neumann was appointed a judge of the Federal Administrative Court and has since been one of the 7th revision Senate. Since January 2007, Neumann is also deputy Präsidialrichter the Federal Administrative Court.

Since May 12, 2010 Werner Neumann has chaired the 6th revision Senate and is thus among other things charge of the school, higher education and right to audit, the staff representation rights, telecommunications law, the right of association and assembly, the right weapons and the police and administrative law.
