Werner Rahn

Werner Rahn ( born June 9, 1939) is a German sea captain retired and historians.

Werner Rahn took effect on 1 April 1960, the Bundeswehr, became an officer in the Navy and has held various board and land commands. In 1974 he earned his doctorate at the University of Hamburg on " Imperial Navy and National Defense from 1919 to 1928 ." After studying history Rahn taught at the Naval Academy Mürwik and Staff College. From 1980 to 1997 he was at the Military History Research Office employs, its bureau chief, he was from April 1995 to September 1997. During this time, Rahn was 1991-1992 under an exchange program of the U.S. Navy " Secretary of the Navy Research Fellow " at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Iceland. After his retirement in 1997 he took over in January 2006 until December 2009 the Berlin office of the German Association for Defence Technology.
