Wernigerode (district)
The district of Wernigerode was a county in the west of Saxony- Anhalt. On 1 July 2007 he went as part of the district reform in Saxony- Anhalt in the new district of Harz. Neighboring districts were the county Halberstadt, in the eastern district of Quedlinburg, in the South, the Thuringian district of Nordhausen and west of the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony in the north.
Geography
In the district was the Rappbode reservoir. In the southwest of the county territory of the lay chunks.
Economy

Traffic
