Werpeloh is a member municipality of the velvet municipality Soegel in the Emsland district, in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geography
Location
The municipality is located in the center of the Werpeloh Hümmling a wooded moraine landscape in Emsland, whose most striking elevation of 73 m above sea level. NN the east of the village situated Wind Mountain is.

History
The surrounding area is characterized by numerous megalithic relics of the Funnel Beaker Culture, the passage graves ( Steenhus ) and the facilities Werpeloh II and III, as well as the No. 825 and 826 Sprockhoff. The town was first mentioned in the year 854 in the records of the monastery of Corvey. He was described in the early years as Wedropla. Today, the west wind mountain town located belongs to the district of Emsland.

Culture and sights
As attractions of the place are the Batak house, the stone circle and give the sculptures, which were designed by the former Catholic priest of the church.
